Our team at IEXP

The 18 people working with IEXP have developed their careers in the field of health for several years, both in the clinical, nursing and pharmaceutical areas, as well as in research and management.



Our team includes doctors, nurses, psychologists, anthropologists, economists, expert engineers in big data, artificial intelligence, deep learning etc, as well as innovation and agile methodologies of patient-centered design

Dr. Carlos Bezos Daleske
Director General IEXP

Carlos Bezos is aknowledged as one of the pioneers of patient experience in Spain. Before he worked as healthcare quality manager at IVF-SPAIN and also as director of SeniorLab (Citilab, Barcelona) where he was in charge of of innovation with elderly and e-health.

Irene Tato
Director of Institutional Relations

She supports clients to achieve their goals in institucional and communication impact. Expert in healtchcare corporate diplomacy and can look back to an outstanding career in healthcare communication. She created the first healthcare communication master in Spain and is President of Amref Health Africa, Princess of Asturias Award 2018.

Dr. Gualberto Diaz
Medical Director

He is responsible for providing clinical advice to IEXP as an organisation and to its projects. He is currently working in a clinical research centre of the Accellacare network for the execution of clinical trials. Previously he has worked in healthcare management (Basque Government), in the pharmaceutical industry in scientific and editorial consultancy, in public and private healthcare and as a lecturer (Universities of Zaragoza, Barcelona, Murcia and Francis de Vitoria among others).

María José Rodríguez
Research Director

Degree in general and clinical psychology, degree in anthropology. IEXP researcher since September 2021. She has 30 years of managerial responsibilities in client's Research and Innovation teams as well as in leading Institutes.

Bárbara Rey Actis
Pharmaceutical Marketing Consultant

Expert marketing consultant specialized in the pharmaceutical industry and longevity. She has more than thirty years of professional experience in multinational companies in various industries such as banking, FMCG and, for the last 12 years, in pharmaceuticals. She is a university professor and author of the book "A meaningful longevity." She graduated with honors from IE Business School where she has completed an MBA.

Esther Arasa
Care Processes and Patient Experience Consultant

She works to implement value projects and cross-cutting patient experience processes. She has extensive experience as an auditor, consultant and adviser in the design and implementation of quality and patient safety management systems. She has a broad reinforced strategic vision with the expansion of knowledge in the field of Patient Experience as well as in the application of new frameworks and agile practices.

Ana Martí Delgado
External consultant for patient participation and experience.

Currently Ana is responsible for Citizen Care and Participation at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital, promoting the ICE model of patient and professional participation, PREMS and shared decisions. With a PhD in Human, Legal and Social Sciences, she has specialized in the effective implementation of patients' rights in the National Health System. Her career includes key roles in Human Resources and the coordination of innovative projects such as the CIVICS Program and the PADEICS Program of the Catalan Institute of Health. She is also a collaborating professor at the International University of Catalonia and Vice-President of the Healthcare Network of CSR and Sustainability.

Javier Rutz
Director of Technology

Expert in business intelligence and artificial intelligence, he co-ordinates an high level team of engineers and technologists. He is engineer and was Director General of Nertus (Siemens). He lectures also at Instituto de Empresa Business School.
